I guess from your post that you must be having some problems with your hydraulics. If you could give some details regarding what the problem(s) are, you could probably get some good advice about what to do to fix it/them. As far as the control valves are concerned (which I guess are what you are referring to as hydro static valves), these were never positive shutoff valves, but depended upon close internal tolerances to keep leakage to a minimum. Since the original valves on hundred-series tractors are now over 40 years old, most of them have worn and leak to a greater or lesser extent. As far as I know there is no practical fix for internal leakage in the valves themselves, and new valves don't seem to be available. The valves used with the Fast Hitch typically had a bolt-on, cross-check valve which reduced or eliminated bleed-down when heavy items were supported by the hitch. These have the drawback (maybe) of being compatible with double-acting cylinders only, and the hitch won't move if the tractor isn't running. These check valves can still work and are repairable, and if you combine one of them with a leaky control valve you end up with no leak-down in at least one direction. I have also seen after-market two-way cross-check valves in catalogs, and if you need no leakage in both directions, adding one of these to the circuit would be an option for you. If you want to test a control valve for leakage, use the cylinder it's hooked to to support something heavy, turn the tractor off, and see how quickly the cylinder bleeds down. To confirm that the leakage is in the control valve and not the cylinder, put a hand valve (get a good, high-pressure valve, about $20) in the line hooked to the high-pressure side of the cylinder, raise whatever heavy item it is that the cylinder is supporting with the hand valve open, and then close the hand valve. If the cylinder doesn't leak down, or leak down as rapidly, your control valve has internal leakage. It will have some because it wasn't a positive shutoff valve to start with, but how much is tolerable is something you'll have to judge. Hope this was helpful.

It is also very apparent that these folks are getting a lot of very poor and often very dangerous advice fro
