After getting over just got the new tractor home and now it leaks jitters, things are going okay. Got the belly pump out and the new seal in, haven't got the pump back in yet. Darn thing is heavy! One spring in the pump, identified in the I&T manual, as the hold up spring was slightly collapsed. What will this harm if anything? Pump had some scoring but it is serviceable. When I looked at the tractor and had it running, ammeter showed charging. was going to charge the battery, saw it in backwards, hokked it up with pos. ground and now shows discharge. Did polarize the generator, have since found some bad wiring, haven't tackled that yet. Thanks to all for answering earlier questions. I am looking forward to working on this old girl, and also helping others through this board. Doc
