We have 2 656 deisels. Both wide fronts and gears. We love then we put about 600 hours on them a year. They are easy on fuel but yet big enough to do work. We use to have a hydro but we tore the hydro out of it. As long as you are not doing hard work like plowing and working ground you should be fine. The hydro is great but I like the gears better. As for the narrow front we try to stay away from them just for the reason that you run over too much hay while baleing. We bought a 656 deisel gears good rubber 6,500 hours it is in good shape about 2 years ago. We paid $3,600 for it. So unless it is a really nice tractor I don't think it is worth it. We are presently looking for another 656 just because we love them so much. As for the fuel leak it is an easy fix ours had that it just needed tightened up. If you are looking for a tractor to work ground go with a 1066 it maybe a little harder on fuel but let me tell you, you can fly. And when the 656 break down they are easy to work on, we rebuild ours about every 4 to 5 years. Thats about as long as they will hold up. But we run them hard and long. If you are looking for a good sized tractor this is the one for you, but his price seems a little high. If you have any other questions I would be happy to answer them. Paul
