HOW DID THE FIRE CRATER PISTON INCREASE THE HORSEPOWER OF AN ENGINE? DOES IT INCREASE THE OVERALL VOLUME OF THE CYLINDER? THERE-BY INCREASING THE OVERALL VOLITILITY OF THE COMBUSTION PROCESS? MY FATHER SWORE BY THESE PISTONS WHEN HE OVERHAULED OUR 41 H. ARE THEY STILL AVAILABLE? I'VE ALWAYS BUILT HORSEPOWER BY SHAVING THE HEAD AND USING DOMED PISTONS WHEN POSSIBLE. IN THIS WAY I WAS ABLE TO INCREASE THE COMPRESSION RATIO. DO THE FIRE CRATER PISTON OPERATE ON THE INVERSE OF THIS THEORY. THANKS MIKE.
