Hi All, sounds like a bearing on the main shaft is gone. When torque is applied the gear movement keeps the shaft down on whats left of the bearing and under no torque the shaft floops within the bearing race. The clunking noise would be the gears not meshing to full engaugement. I would be doing some repairs pretty quick to keep from tearing more gear teeth out. Then again I could be all wet! T_Bone
