If you don't have a need to use the hydralic pump just pull out the two bolts and slide off the sleeve that connects the shaft between the rear of the pump and the front of the transmission. This area can be reached from under the tractor, you might have to remove a dust cover, but it is pretty straight forward. If you need the hydralics only four bolts and the plumbing lines hold the pump/reservior in the tractor. Once you have the reservoir out a visual inspection can often determine why it is locked up. Some times the linkage is broken. Take it apart and see if you can determine the problem if you can't figure it out you can always purchase a used or rebuilt pump and or pump/reservoir. I ran a "Wanted H Hyd pump"ad in the classified and received 8 responses. Prices varied from a rebuilt for $220 to $20 for a used but guaranteed. "You pull it and if it doesn't work you can pull another!" Several around $ 100. Good Luck Dick
