My owners manual says to check oil level before each use,and if tractor is operated on distillate fuel,or,used heavily the day before,to open bottom oil cock and drain out(about 1 qt.)close bottom cock and open top oil cock,fill with new oil until it drips out of top cock,then close.(1948 Farmall H & HV Owners Manual)My H is a 51' but I was told to follow the same maint./lubrication charts.
