Thank you for the help. I've been thinking about it a lot and you told me what I've been thinking as well. The machine shop has a good reputation and they charged me enough, but I think it has to be the new guides. I'm thinking that after they pressed them in maybe they reamed them out wrong. What really makes me think this is that after it sits awhile it really puffs the smoke when I start it. After about 30 sec it runs clear and has good power. I'll have to check compression.
