Oil Pressure SMTA

What should the oil pressure run on these? I have a regular automotive guage on it instead of the International one. It seems to vary a lot between when it is at 1/2 to 3/4 throttle or idling, going down when it idles. I know this is m=normal but sort of wondered what the minimum should be. I am also not sure how accurate the guage is. Thanks for the help
