Are you sure the gas is coming out around the gasket?? There is a bleed hole on the bottom of the carburator in the part that connects to the air cleaner. It is designed to let excess gas escape. If gas is coming out there, your float is set too high or the needle valve is leaking through flooding the engine. Are you getting black smoke before she dies?? Will it fire at all if you don't choke it??
