I pulled my clutch, including the clutch disc, pressure plate, throwout bearing, and the clutch shaft just the other day without splitting my SM. I did have a little trouble getting the throwout shaft out as it had a couple of washers as keys to locate the throwout bearing lever on the shaft.I could not have gotten any of the clutch components out without first removing the throwout shaft.
