I remember seeing those years ago. I think there were companies such as Franz and others that made them. Several years ago I read some writings by some so-called experts that were critical of this type of filter for 3 reasons. One, that they filtered so well they filtered out many oil additives that were good for engines, two, that engine rebuilders were finding traces of toliet paper throughout the engines, and three, they did not use the cold start bypass system in some engines to prevent oil starvation in cold weather or a clogged filter. I don't know if these are fair assessments but just something I read and it should get a discussion going! JohnIH
