The same thing happened to me with my farmall H. It would run for 10 to 20 minutes or less then popping sound. it would cough, cough and cough and start jerking. I had this proplem for a good 2 months did put a new filter, points, condenser, plugs,wires,clean carb 20 times, checked floater, but to no avail. Then I decided to to empty out the gas tank and clean it inside out, also cleaned the see through filter right under the tank and believe it or not I turned that key and my H is still runnig with no problems what so ever. The tank and filter had gunk it, lots of rust. Try it yourself at least I did.
