You can completely rebuild one cheap, check out your local central tractor store. If you want to completely replace it, the price for a new one is minimal, I tend to try to keep the old bowl assembly with new parts just for the nostalgia. Make sure the valve is clean on the inside- I think I got mine apart. You should not be able to blow through it if it is cleaned up and sealing right. Unless some one attempted to close it with a wrench or something, its probably just dirty. Dave
