1958 Farmall 450 & No. 22A Three-Row Middlebuster Antique Tractor
| I purchased this middlebuster from a farmer that bought it new on a Farmall 460 Tractor at Waxahachie TX, 30 miles south of Dallas. He used it for fall tillage to build beds for planting corn, milo and cotton. Planting on top of the beds was with a blackland planter with a sweep to knock off the top of the bed, a seed opening shovel and two covering shovels. It is rare to find one in use today. Starting in the 1970's, middlebusters and blackland planters were gradually replaced by the same tillage equipment and planters used by corn growers in the Midwest.
