I have a question that is off topic for this group but you all have so many good answers. I have a (sears and roebuck co. david bradley) chainsaw. Where do I look for info on this. I have tried many places with no luck. I do have the ser. no. and model no. she runs great and I would like to find out more on this unit. the gas tank and bar oiler in one spilt tank and a 24" bar and is chain driven from the crank to the bar. an awfully slow moving chain but cuts like heck. any info would be greatly helpfull... thank you in advance... steve

Try Rod"s suggestion. That"s how I get my parts for craftsman chain saw. Has schematics and part numbers.

Sounds like you have one of the old Sears- David Bradley saws, most were a silvery grey color and were gear drive with a transmission and probably has a 1/2" pitch chain (large drive links) the chain turned much slower on these models and they could take a much bigger bite into the cut,you could almost put a saddle on them and ride it, the chain is probably turning in the opposite direction from the crankshaft. Think these were large square cornered aluminum tanks and shrouds and believe they may have been said to be made by STRUNK mfg. Not real sure have been out of saw business since '72. Lot of farmers here had them many years ago, had a lot of standard off-shelf parts and were cheap to buy. Gene Davis

I have read your article on the sears robuck saw and I was wondering if anyone could give me any information on model # 355 83130 such as where I could find out pricing for selling this saw or is it even worth it

Did you try www3.sears.com enter your model number also some of the sears clubs at yahoo for mowers might be able to help also try www.gardenweb.com the tool section of that site is just about all chainsaws now.
