The pass post, I asked for building type comparison and was considering the Quonset style for a 40x60 shop. Thanks to your feedback, I decided not to go with the quonset type building. The majority of the posts recommended the Mueller brand.
Could anyone please comment one more time on the Miracle truss buildings verses Mueller. Thanks, Guys

Miracle is alright but I've had much better luck with Ironbuilt Steel Buildings.

I went with mueller after pricing Miracle Truss,
Several Reasons swayed me to Mueller
1. Mueller is about 11 miles from my house
Hate to do that large of business by phone was able to look the sales person in the eye during pricing at mueller's
2. Probally Petty on my part BUT I do not like the Idea of someone doing a great website pics, customer comments ect. and not a single price mentioned(miracle truss web site) Even when I got miracle truss brochure still no prices Had to call them for a estimate If I had know that I would not have waited for the brochure by snail mail
3 Miracle truss's price was higher for just the truss's than muellers entire building package.
Maybe miracle truss were engineered more for snow load but I live 20 miles from the Gulf of Mexico I needed more engineering for wind load.

Longest post ever for me but my $.o2 worth

Thanks Jeff,
I am going with Mueller also.
I live just outside of Conroe and Mueller is right up the road north of Willis.
Their 40X50 for under 8G's sounds pretty good.

Duane If you intend to do it yourself, start with a really good slab. Don't cut corners with the foundation. And make absolutely sure the contractor puts the anchor bolts in the exact correct dimensions. Recheck them youself before they pour the concrete. That will get everything off to a good start and make the frame members (and everything else) line up correctly. You will need help (and a lift) to get the frame up and you will need help with the roof panels. Otherwise, you can do everthing else yourself, although it helps to have friends. Mueller made a few parts wrong for me, but were quick to make good and get the correct parts to me. They are also close to me and it is nice to be able to speak to them face to face. Good luck.
