I have a vintage model 14-T JD baler that is still in remarkably good shape and is used to make a few hundred square bales each year. My problem - need to make a few adjustments to the knotter head and the original owners manual is so frayed I can't read it anymore. Does anyone still have a manual for one of these and would you be willing to part with it. Let me know. Thanks.

Ken,

I have an original manual for my 14T baler. Email me if you would like me to copy a few pages.

Thanks for the comments, guys. I spend a lot of time on the road and don't have opportunity to check this frequently. Karl, I appreciate the tip that the old manuals have lots more info on the knotter. Warren, I'll take you up on the offer to copy a few pages on knotter adjustment - I need to figure out which ones I need. Fudd, your baler is definitely vintage! A dictionary definition of the word is "of recognized quality and endurance". Any baler that has worked continuosly for 47 years must fit that definition.

Your John Deere dealer should be able to order one for you.

I have the address at home, I'll post it in the morning. What do you mean vintage? There are lots of 14T's around yet. Is mine a vintage too? He He

You may want to find an original manual rather than a new one. I had a 14T, bought a new manual from Deere, it was ok, but found an original later. The old one had twice as much info as the new one did. LOTS more info on knotters in the old one.
