Talked to them a bit ago and they were having another shower. Don't know if it will amount to much, but as I've heard -- it takes rain to get rain.

Hey D&D, we finally got 0.75" last night on the farm in SW ND! There is actually water in the yard!! Woohoo!

Dad says everything looks greener already, but the wind continues to blow and it will be dry within the week without a let up of the wind or more rain.

Allan, lets make a deal.... I'll send you some rain if you send me some sunshine. I think we've seen the sun mabey 5 days this month, and I think there was a couple days now where we saw close to that 5.6" in one day. Fields are too wet to walk on never mind work on.

When you live in the west, rain is always a blessing, tornados however do not excite me at all! hope you guys can dodge the bullet down there, hope you get all the rain you could ask for.

Here in eastern Nebraska, (just west of Lincoln), we had 2.80 today and .30 yesterday.

We did have a few dry days a week or so ago and our renter got at least our place planted. Put the whole farm in beans. I did go out and redo a waterway for him, so that helped.

I bought an old whirlwind terracer on an auction a few years ago. Works great for cleaning out waterways.

I don't know how the Nebraska Panhandle is, but here in central Nebraska, I've had over 4 & 1/4 inches of rain since the first of May and that doesn't count the snow. Over 2 1/2 inches today. They have been talking on the radio about certain parts of the Platte River at flood stages. It's been years since I've heard about the Platte flooding and it was only because of ice jams. Radio said that between McCook & Oxford Ne they've had over nine inches.

Not to butt in, however, I think the biblical boat thing is an "ark", while a flash of light from an electrical discharge is an "arc"!!!

It is also a segment of a circle. I think he was referring to a rainbow.

Yea I made a typing error, someday maybe I will grow up to be as perfect as you and your infinite grasp on the english language..... .....funny thing, I dont see anything in my post that reads: Hey Bob is my grammar perfectly correct! Good thing you were smart enough to figure out what I meant!

NO NEED to get your undies in a wad... I was making a JOKE over the word. If you haven't noticed, Allan and I rib each other back and forth from time to time... OK???

I make as many spelling errors as anyone, and can even find humor in many my own goofs, can't you?
