When is the right time to plant face pumpkins in southeren pa? I know if you go too early you have lots of ripe pumpkins th 2cnd and third week of August. I was thinking seed in ground middle of June? What is a good variety to plant? TIA

You should be able to plant them now. It's suppose to be in the 80's on Memorial Day. Here's a crop of pumpkins grown by a farmer in western Ohio. He irrigates them if there's no rain. Hal

The weekend following memorial day weekend has served us well here in upstate ny. Been doing 6 acres for about 10 years. Mid june may be a bit too late

Rule of thumb here in W Ky is plant at winter wheat harvest time
