Hey guys, lets all send the CEO and high ranking officers of EXXON Mobile a McDonalds gift certificate because I'm afraid that they might not be able to eat becaust they are only making in the 10's of millions yearly in compensation according to a article I read on yahoo.
I would sure hate to see them have to suffer and be hungry while we are being blanked over at the gas pumps.

There is no shortage of fuel in the US. How long did it take the Germans to build coal liquidfication plants to run WWII with. The US could be entirely self sufficient through coal alone in 5 years if push came to shove.
Wouldn't cost as much as imported oil either.

This morning on Today and analyst predicted gas would hit $200/barrel which means over $7 gal at the pump.

Ask you Congressman why the industry's consolidate, hasn't built any new refineries, we've forbidden drilling in 3/4 of the places in the U.S. there's oil, the Nuclear industry is only beginning to show a heartbeat, we subsidize biofuels for Europe and other countries -- regardless of the nation of origin (yes, your tax money subsidizes ethanol and biodiesel grown in other countries and used in other countries long as it passes through a U.S. port first).

There's solutions, but it sure ain't all the big oil companies fault when the marketplace is screwed up six ways to Sunday by Congress, and the few things they can get right in the past like anti-trust they now turn a blind eye towards.

I agree about the antitrust laws. The justice dept. has allowed about any big corp. to merge if they want to regardless of the consequences for the consumer. I believe this escalated during Bush's time in White House.

The way I see it most of us wont need any fuel in the near future. Don't anyone realize we are in a war [like Viet Nam] that we cannot win? They, and without getting political, are selling out all our resources, including the kitchen sink. No one is trying to stop even scrap from going overseas.-- I don't know about you, but it's bothersome to me.--I feel soon we will have to invest in rubbermaid so we can build military vehicles to protect whats left, and anyone who has all the money will run to another Island to start over, leaving the good ol US for the vultures
