I just bought a 2870 Case tractor. Clutch 2 in the powershift has a bad leak and needs repaired. What is the best way to get to the unit ? Pull the engine or can it be done from the back ? I hope someone can advise me because there are very few in the area. Thanks

You will have to pull the engine. It would be best to come up with a service manual.

There are others better informed but just looking at diagram on case web site it looks similar to 4690 an on that one you need a stand that mounts under engine(large 4 point) an than you can disconect all lines an remove bolts on frame- disconect at bell housing an roll forward. Dont even have to remove radiator or hood on 4690.That is brief description you will do.Case dealers had special stand avaible.
