I stumbled across a listing for a hydraulic top link and was wondering if anyone has had any experience with these.

If so, how do they interface with the tractor . . . the rear hydraulic thing on my JD2150 has two spool connectors (I think that's what they're called).

Thanks

G

My dad has one for the back of his JD2155. It works well, very handy.

If I recall correctly you may have an issue with the diameter of the pin that connects the cylinder to the tractor. He had to have a different end welded onto his cylinder to make it work.

I just got one this spring on my Deere 750, I thought that I would just use it for the box blade, but so far it works on everything, makes hook ups easier too. Best discovery was that I can back up to the creek with the bush hog and drop it down the bank. Anyway It's from A+I, and around $150 + hoses. I run it off of my loader controls that I don't have a loader for. Jim

It's a really neat addition to a three point hitch. One bit of advice is to measure the tractor where the top link attaches to be sure there is enough clearance for a big fat cylinder. Measure to see how far the hole for the top link is recessed into the tractor. Maybe you're situation is just fine, but if the pin in the cylinder isn't far enough away from the fat part of the cylinder, you might break something as the cylinder moves when the three point goes up and down. Don't ask me how I know. Gnoose does make one for their three point fork lifts but it's very-very spendy. They probably have linkages that would fit most tractors.

Last week I had the top link cylinder break on the Gnoose bucket on the back of the 1086 while I was going down the road with aboout a dozen rocks in the bucket. There was a big bang and suddenly a dozen rocks were rolling down the road at 20 MPH. It was a lonely gravel road so traffic wasn't a problem but it sure did get the heart a pumpin for awhile. Jim

They need a 2-port hyd connection - pressure both ways. Sounds like that is what you have available.
