wd allis chalmers brakes

am struggling with brake replacement ,the pins on this particular tractor just wont budge ,have beat welded with little luck does anyone have advise on whats next thanks danny l kinder

Drill and tap them for a 3/8-24 thread, then using a grade 8 3/8 bolt and a socket as a puller pull them. Do not break the tap or drill in drill and tapping. Take your time, use new sharp drills and tap. Drill and tap new pins if you get them and someone in the future will think you are pretty smart. This won't weaken the pin where it needs to be strong. They go through a lot of castiron before they get to where they are unsupported.

Those pins will test your patience and religion! LOL You are headed the right direction. Solutions to your problem are many, but generally heat is involved. Some have had success by welding a flat bar to the pin and using it to rotate the pin to loosen it and then pry it out.

Others have cut the pin on the inside and then removed it piece by piece by knocking the outside piece into the housing.
