I headed into the house because I could see the rain coming. Before I got my boots off I knew it wasnt rain. It didnt last long but a couple of minutes of quarter sized hail made alot of noise and took care of some leaves in the trees.

Those are all hail stones. It didnt bother anything, just made lots of noise. Looks like I was kinda tired the night I planted that field! bill

A few days ago near here they had baseball sized hail a foot deep. Amazingly, no one was seriously hurt although one guy was beaned and another was walked.

Had the same thing here in Rock Island County, about 2:30. Got off work, and it's hailing. 1 guy had rode bicycle to work and 3 rode motorcycles. They were standing inside the door waiting for it to quit. It stopped for about 10 minutes and then cut loose again, they probably got soaked on the way home. Chris

No way, that is newfangled contour planting, just the ticket for modestly rolling terrain.JimN

You always get more corn in a crooked row, might have increased your acreage by a 1/4th. And in six weeks no one will notice.
