Need some help gang. We have patent pending on our round bale unroller! But, I need some more info to look at any possible design changes we might have to make. Below is a link to a generic square baler image. All you have to do is copy it, print it, whatever, and put in the info about your particular machine, and post the info back to me. You can post a link to it, email it to me, send it via pony express, smoke signals, what ever works for you. Anyone that takes the time to do this has my utmost gratitude!

I hope it works out for you. tried doing this rebale thing for four years and finaly just gave up and run two balers in the first place when baling. It just doesn't pay out. There is 6 units out ther eon the market now, Good luck and have fun thou. I hope on you unroller you have a tear arm assembly other wise they wil not come apart. The last 3ft good luck with that also.

The measures you are wanting vary from balers so I suggest you get manual on baler you wanting to base off of it will have all measures you wanting. The tractor hooked to baler also comes into play to where its wheel spacing is set.

You will also find that if you do not change the direction of hay travel into baler they will be really uneven and it really shakes the baler on the hard spots otherwise.

This unroller works a bit different from most of the ones that are already out there. I make 4X4 rounds and can feed one into my square baler with this unroller in about 8 minutes. Due to the design and the way it is positioned before the square baler, it dethatches the hay as it feeds it. Sometimes I have to "shake" loose the last foot of the roll where it might be folded, but it really isn't that big of a deal to me. That is a lot easier to deal with than making squares in the field when you are a one man operation (at least in my opinion). My personal operation is to do all rounds (about 1500 per year), get them in the barns the day they are baled, then I do squares "on demand" during the rest of the year inside the barn during any kind of weather. Like I said, for me, it works out great. Thanks for the input!

yea been ther done that but what i ran into was the cost of rebaling etc you couldn't charge enough for the small squares to recoop the costs. Its one man here thats why I went to accumulator setup.

Well, according to our figures, it costs about 50 cents to make each square bale using our unroller. That is taking into account round bale twine, square bale twine, fuel, and so on. I can take one of my round bales, which I charge 20 dollars for, and turn it into 60 dollars worth of square bales in about 8 minutes. To me, that spells pretty good profit. Everyone has thier opinion about doing this, just like everyone has thier opinion about round bales versus square bales. I'm not trying to convince anyone about anything with this post, I'm just trying to gather a bit of information so I can continue this project to the best of my ability. But I do thank you for your opinion.

It looks like you're setting it up to rebale rounds into squares? I've seen some posts about how much a P.I.T.A. it is to do. do you need info for older balers too, like a 214t and 24t?

This unroller sets directly in front of the baler, so I want it to be able to fit just about ANY small square baler. The more measurements I get from a wide variety of makes and models, the better we can judge what we might need to change to make it usable on just about any baler out there. Thanks for asking!
