I am looking at a 1998 Ford-New Holland 3930 tractor with loader, MFWD. Can anyone give me input regarding their experience with them. It also has a syncrhoreverse on it. Does anyone know if the clutch is dry or wet? Thanks. Paul

I own a 98 3930 fwa, 8 x 8 reverser, 7310 loader. It has been great.

Only problem has been the previous owner did not grease the front axle pivot properly. Other than those front axle parts, all other work has been general maintanence, oil, filters, little wear out parts, etc.

I use it for almost all things, from tillage to loader work. I run it pretty hard but dont try to abuse it.

Only thing I want out of this tractor, is a little more HP, 4630, 4830 etc.

I just hope when this tractor wears out, the next one will be just as reliable.

Rick

Of all my five tractors, my 3930 w/loader gets the most use. Mowing, moving round bales all year round, brush hogging, loading litter in my spreader truck, occiasionally pulling a baler, grading the driveway, and so on. It's never failed me yet.

Dry clutch. Good heavy tractor, but with a loader you can break the front axle (hubs) in heavy pulling.
I've been through just about everythign but the rear axle in ours, but it's used like an 80 hp tractor most of the time, so you get what you pay for.
If used as the 45 hp tractor that it is, then it's pretty tough.

Dry clutch

8X8 shuttle works ok.

(ran a 5030 w/ 7310 loader)
