I own a 52 Super M and the direct factory replacement tire size is 16.9 - 38 from the show room they were 15.5 - 38s but they went with the 16.9s later.

This info is from a 60 year old Internatioal dealership in Michigan that sold them when they were new .

12.5 i don't think so maybe a cub.

You beter check your data James, The staight M was 12.4's the Super M was 13.6. old numbers would be 11-38 for the M and 12-38 for the Super M. Look in the books there is no way they came with 16.9's that was not even an option!! You may have been looking at a 560 flyer?

I agree 12.4's were stock our SMTAD had 13's which I thought were awesome our regular M had 12.4's I've only seen 15.5s on the 450 and bigger the 706 had 16.9X34s my opinion is you need to change the diameter when you get wider unles you match the fronts or you'll be running downhill.Post this on the Farmall forum and I'm sure someone can set it straight.
