Once you get No1 piston to TDC on the compression stroke and see where the rotor is pointing connect
your wires in one of these firing orders. Hal
PS: Note the direction the rotor turns.

3-1
4-2 CW

1-3
2-4 CCW

Note: Your rotor may not point where I have No1, then just move the plug wires around & start with No1, then2, then 4 & No3

Just as important as the location of #1 is the direction of rotation. I can never remember if it's CW or CCW, but take off the distributor cap and check. I ran mine for several months with the firing order reversed; you couldn't tell that two cylinders were missing other than it didn't have much power.

Pull #1 spark plug, put your finger in the hole, crank engine over untill compression blows your finger out the spark plug hole. Then check and see where the rotor is pointing, it should be pointing at #1 plugwire on your distributor cap.HTH

That all depends on where some one has drop the distributor in. I most it can be doped in any place. So what you need to do is get #1 a TDC and look to see where the rotor is. Then hook up the wires from there. Also when your getting it a TDC watch to see which way the rotor is turning
