Has anyone heard of a total for the Phillips auction at Bridgeport? I could only watch part time on the internet. Many of my friends around here are curious as to the auction total. Thanks for the help!!!!

As cheap as the stuff was going for the 2 days I attended I figured they would be lucky to get the 10 million it was rumored Kruse paid to get it. List of the items I got,
2- single axle stack wagons...$200 ea
4 row McCormick 3 point cultivator...$80
6 row No 60 McCormick Planter...$85
8 row JD 80 Corn Planter....$400
Hesston 1014+2 Center Pivot Windrower..needs 1 hyd motor but is complete....$300
JD Cotton picker for the running 6cyl diesel engine...$700
Gehl high dump wagon...$175
Donahue Heavy Duty Combine trailer....$2000
JD 4630 FWA and it runs....$6500

Maybe the other days things brought more but but I know the scrap iron guys made out like bandits. Had to stand around most of the two days I was there to wait for the items I got and most things I saw brought scrap prices and the tractors didn"t bring what they would at other auctions. I would guess that since Kruse didn"t get any of the newer stuff running that depresses prices....And who ever heard of standing around in a tent and bidding on things by slide projector. My take on things..... ..

I talked to one of the yard workers when he was loading my tractor. He estimated it at $14.5 million.

One of the local business owners there in BP said they estimated it at $10 million.

We were trying to estimate it by average $ per item and # of items, and we came up with a little over that...

I wouldn't sign my name to either estimate in a court of law, though... ha...
