Some of you local guys probably saw that story in The Daily News about those 10 year old quintuplets who all play the banjo. I got the chance to see them last night at the Sheridan Lions Club Variety Show. AWSOME! Those little buggers can play!

Hot Dang!! Those kids can really play!
It took me 40 years to learn 3-finger style of banjo pickin'! (Well, having one short finget made me think i couldn't play thay way, but i finally figgered out how to do it!) Yep, those kids will get along just great in life, if they stay with it. Going out tonight to pick and play with our local bluegrass group. We meet every Tuesday nite, at a bar in Blawnox, Pa. Western Pa, has a large contingent of bluegrass musicians, and a lot of shows all summer!

There's a couple in Kansas who have two daughters, 5 and 6, maybe 6 and 7 by now, who play fiddles.

They played at the Seward, NE July 4th celebration last summer. When the 5 year old cut loose with "Orange Blossom Special", the whole crowd was on it's feet.

Thanks for the link. Fantastic. That Michael seems to not even think about hitting his licks on his mandolin. Watched them all, I think.Incredibaly talented family.

Can't help thinkin'- their parents probably hopin' there'll be "deliverence" in their future from expenses with their talent. You remind me too, last summer I saw a family that goes by the name "Cherryholmes", parents with 2 daughters and 2 sons. They are very good at pickin' and singin' too, including at the Grand Ole Opry. The older daughter's won some major awards for her pickin' ability. She makes it look easy.
