The lift on my D14 went up, but will not go down. Is there a check valve? How does the linkage release pressure?

not real shure if this will help or not but look at your control levers for the lift the one thats on top is for the traction booster and my raise it if you move it the the upper portion of the quadrant. move it to a lower position and the also move the lower lever to the bottem of the quadrant. also would suggest checking under the seat on the left hand side as you're sitting on the tractor as it may have a selector valve under there that accidently got moved. Aside from those two items i really dont know of anything but then i've not had a need to tear my tractor's lift system apart.

Don't know for sure about the D14, but my WD has settings for the hydraulics. Could be yours is set up wrong. On the WD, the hydraulic control is on the right frame rail, below the starter, with decal for instruction. Hope this is of some help. Greg
