Local scrap is up so high that people have been stealing cars. Now the local scrap yard can only take a car in if it has a title. You know something is wrong when if a car brakes down on the side of the road that a person would stop and pick it up and haul it in for scrap.

Most places around my area have required a title before they take a car, but some places dont. Where my sister lives, she said convertors are stolen right and left. Gonna get worse before it gets better.

Thought about leaving the disk in the field last night but decided against it with scrap prices so high.

Might be a good time. I just drug my last 8 old cars & trucks to the local scrapyard, Got 245 a ton so I averaged about 400 apiece for them. We had a few guys looking for scrap that looked a little suspicious so I (my wife) thought it was a good time to let them go. Actually she always thought anytime in the last 15 years was a good time to get rid of them. No sense of nostalgia I suppose.... I took the Cats off them, I wonder what I can get for them??
