I know where there is 250 gallons of free ethanol.

Can I run this in a Farmall M or 400? Do I need to dilute it with gas or make other modifications to the tractors?

I also know where there is 110 gallons of isopropanol. Will this work as fuel either straight or mixed.

I am assuming that neither of these fuels can be mixed with Diesel. Is this true?

You can run both the ethanol and iso alcohol in your M but there are a few things to watch. If you use it straight alcohol will carry water with it or absorb water from the atmosphere leading to corrosion of your complete fuel system including lines, carburetor and intake valves. It does not ignite as easily or have the energy density of gasoline so it will start harder, have less power and go through more fuel. You will more than likely have to some tweaking on your carb to get it to run correctly. But, if you dilute it way down with gas so you are only putting 10-20% ethanol in the system you shouldn't have any problems.
You are correct not to put that stuff in a diesel. Kills pumps and injectors = Not good.
My 2 worth.
