I don't know how will this would work with your band duals but for axle mount duals this tool I built works great. With this and a cordless impact wrench I can put a set of duals on myself in as little as five minutes and never have to handle anything heavier than the wood blocks to drive the tractor up on.

Looks like a familiar sight to me. Might have to play down with the air on the outers to adjust for the inners flexing like Leland said. Those radials are going to take more of the brunt anyway so having them insides the place to be I figured as well. I just wasn't about to hang 80% outers on 30% inners, or move them around, and around, and around. I needed replacements badly. Like you, I'm starting off with new 100% radial inners with a good 80% bias outers. With the sudden skyrocket jump in diesel prices, I'm figuring those guys will justify paying for themselves quicker this season than any before. Still a bitter pill though, eh? I'm just gonna have to skip lunches for a while.

If you're wrong, I won't feel so bad too.

I've always thought that you would want most of the load to be on the inner tires, because then that's less outboard strain on the axle shafts. I don't know, maybe its just me.

The only thing we ever done was to lower the air in the bias to make up for the flex the radial has

I see people do it all the time and it seems to work okay. Sure beats not having any.

wanna talk about heavy? i bought a set of duals like that last year and i didn't know they were loaded with fluid! me and three guys tried to lift them up abut i ended up getting a with a skidsteer there to load them up for me. needless to say they are still sitting on that trailer. looks good! i use those type duals every year with radials on the inside and bias on the outside. i just can't justify trying to lift thos pressed steer rims up and trying to line up the bolt holes all at the same time
have a good one!

They will probly make your corn rows crooked. Other than that it looks fine.
