These first two are of tractors I bought. I've been wanting a cross motor of some sort for a long time - and I've always been partial to Minneapolis Molines. This one is from a company that later merged into MM.

The second is a very nice little JT Twin City.

Hey, didn't the 1470's come with a 451 turbo? Pretty sure they did and the 504 wasn't out until the 1370 were produced which was a few years after the 1470. I see the side panel says 504 on the 1470 there.

Is it just me, or does that 1030 look kinda small. I remember out 1030 looked so much bigger. I rememeber when I was 17 having to stand up on a little stool to check the fluids. (I guess I could have been that much shorter then, but probably not by much)

Howard. I am looking at a Massey Ferguson 97 like the one you have here It has dual wheels and is fair condition clean sheet metal except for the usual bent up back fenders (who ever said a farmer could drive in straight line.)
Did get the price that it went for.

Hi Walt -

I hope you are feeling better!

I want to say the one without FWA brought $1100 or so... I don't remember for certain - and I wasn't in the ring when this one sold - I'll try to get my book back - we sort of traded off on writing down prices...

Thanks for posting all the pics. My father and I drove 700 miles on Wednesday of the auction got there and registered at 430 and start walking around soon to find out neither one of us brought a camera. It was definitely a sight we wont soon forget. We came home with 1 tractor a JD 720LP and suitcase weights,,, WELL WORTH THE EFFORT OF GOING
