Hauled my old 722 Bobcat, that I had just rebuilt the engine, from Alta Loma, CA to my 2nd home outside of Durango, CO. Over a 1000 miles by myself. Went great until it wouldn't start when I got there. That's what I get for not cleaning the tank out for dirt. Plugged the carb so bad I wound up getting a new carb and pulling the tank. At least its run great ever since. Even the trailer worked well on this. Bought a 12' bevertail for $400 added 4 new tires for $200. Then I sold the trailor for a nice profit and took that money and got a 12' dump trailor which gets far more use and can still hall the Bobcat if needed. It will work even better when I get around to building some ramps.

Bought an M38a1 military Jeep in Bristol, VA and hauled it home to Coldwater, MI. Best part of the ride was my great-niece wanted to ride with me. We really had a great time and neither one of us will ever forget it. Of course some of the antics my son and nephew pulled on the trip were interesting also. Jeep is now restored and is my summer ride.

longest equipment haul was from Bristol home- about 300 miles. Longest livestock haul was Dc to Oklahoma City- about 1200 miles each way, straight through. Have done it every year for 6 years for the ApHC world show- it's moved this year to Jackson, Miss. Anyone know anything about Jackson?

I hauled my New Holland 489 haybine 70 miles from were I bought it to my farm. Could only do about 30 miles an hour with it. Tires were a little cracked, so I was worried one would let go. Got it home fine, later that fall mowing hay at 4 mph one tire went, looking back as I was mowing I was seeing this grove in the field, turns out the tire went flat so the rim was leaving a line in the field. lol jayinny

Did not personally haul it my self, but my Farmall H moved with us from Derbyshire, England. to Christchurch, New Zealand. 12,000 miles or thereabouts. She has just got to go east across the Pacific now and she will have been all the way round the world! lol.

Got a haul once off our very own Hauling Board on this site- guy wanted a Farmall H hauled from SW Washington to NE Washington- about 350 miles, and he offered $1.30 a loaded mile (this was several years ago). Only catch was, had to be done IMMEDIATELY. Called him, turned out he lived about 5 miles from me. He worked for the Forest Service, got transferred, house had sold quicker than he expected to a couple that had to move in that coming weekend. I was planning a trip through that area about a month hence, and he wasn't in a hurry to get the tractor delivered, just to get it off his old place. I took it home, delivered at the appointed time, the haul fee paid for all of my fuel to Montana and back, and everybody was happy. He put my name and number on his bulletin board, and said he would be moving back to "God's country" someday, and would call me to haul "grandpa's H" when he did.

I've hauled two tractors from West Fork, Ark. to Auburn, In. which is about 1300 mile. The last one was a Farmall B with my 2006 Dodge Dokota which has a six cyl. in it. I got over 20 mpg also, but total gross weight was under 10,000 lbs.
I might add that when you draft up behind the semi's, it sure helps.

One way distances and notes below:

Tractor - 20 miles (not very interesting)

Equipment - 120 miles (picked up a cultivator at an auction, had to drag it out of a hedgerow)

Car - 450 miles (driving around the rougher parts of downtown Boston, with a tow dolly bouncing behind the truck, looking for sellers house was not much fun)

Snowmobile - 800 miles (bought a 1969 Homelite Forester snowmobile on ebay in Madison, WI for $10. The fun part was the 46 hour trip to pick it up and take it home)
