I like AC WD45. Over 50 years old and still runs good. That was the first tractor I ever drove. I hope to get the old 2 bottom plow on it and plow the garden this year. has to stop raining first though. maybe I'll take a pic of the plowing and try to put it on here.

Ford 8N with a sherman over and under. It can go down that road fast, its stable in the ditches, the thing is just so handy around the yard with the 3pt, and for moving stuff with the front hitch.

I will admit though that I love the sound and power of our 1600 Oliver, especially when baling hay.

I'd have to say a Massy Harris 30 for working and a Farmall Cub for gardening. We had others but I think these were the most user friendly. rw

Any and all antique gas farm tractors. Had Ford 4000, Ford 2N, Farmall Cub, Farmall A. Still have Cub and A, not enough room and won't let em out in the rain.

I've always been sorta partial to this'n! 1971 MF150 diesel, 8-speed. I've owned it since new. Just a tick over 3200 hrs. 38hp originally, turned up to 47hp and left that way for the last 35 years. I decided 2 years ago to make it look as new as possible again. It's the most dependable thing I've ever owned.

Favorite tractor that I never owned would probably be a 1066 IH

My Favorite tractor is my 1943 Farmall H, It is also very special because it was my Grandpa's tractor. My Grandpa died in 1998 and now I own the tractor. I'm 15 and I restored it. It starts and runs excellent and it is the perfect tractor for me. I like the Farmall H tractors for several reasons, too many to list! One reason is because it is not too big and not too small and it is easy on fuel. I used my H alot today and it works great. I have a IH 25-V Sickle mower and a IH #30 loader with manure and snow buckets. My H is a great tractor and I will never get rid of it. I'm also fixing up a 1949 John Deere A and I bought a 1938 F-20 Farmall.

Andy.

My 1948 JD D, not because it's operator friendly, just because there's nothing that sounds like an old D under a heavy load. It's mechanically perfect, but will never be restored 'cause I just love to hear it work. Then there's my 1948 Allis B that my dad bought new, and I grew up on. Then there's the first tractor I ever bought, my 1940 JD H, then there's ..... ..... Aw heck, I love 'em all.

Mine is a Farmall 400
With a fast hitch, independent pto, TA, Live hydralics and a wide front. It is just about the perfect tractor for small square baleing.

Just the right power for the tools
Just the right speed to run them
And fair fuel economy.

I kind of am impartial to some of the Fords, hundred and thousand series, we used to sell them, always liked the looks of the hundred series and some of the heavier industrial models. I have also liked the 300-400 JD's in yellow, and some of the odd utility sized JD's, they look like something I'd enjoy using. All the MFR's have a few that get my attention in this size, the International/Farmall also had a good line of utility sized ones. It would be really cool to have been able to compare that class, they all look the part, I'll just take one of each !

For practicality I really like the older utility size tractors, fords up to the 90's and most others in that size range going back, say with a stout loader, having most of the features you need. Versatility is most important to me, might not be MFR specific, unless considering fuel economy or something that one MFR gave you over another that you really need. It has to suit the purpose you need it for and perform well enough to satisfy the need in my eyes, though I'd enjoy having 1 that was completely tore down and restored, just hard to not use them.

Well heck I like em all actually, 'cept narrow fronts on side hills !!! Like when I was an equipment operator, I don't care what you wanted me to run, I'll make it work and enjoy doing it !

The first tractor I worked in the field 62 years ago was an Allis C. I have become fond of the Allis B in the last few years.
I really liked to run my Oliver 1850 in the field when I was still farming my farm.

Farmall Super C that I learned how to drive as a kid.

Kept the farm mowed with a Bush Hog (mfg) mower. Still have the mower and the IH disk.

My neighbor now owns the tractor and tills his "truck patch" with it every year.

I agree that being "big enough" to drive a tractor as a kid was something to be proud of.

Great memories from driving that red tractor.
