Second time in two weeks. Wife got a call from some rabbit people who wanted some of her rabbits. Agreed to bring them and meet at a rabbit show an hour's drive from here. Wife made he effort. They never showed. Rabbits came home. Last weekend, wife's girlfriend went way out of her way to deliver one of ours, and two of hers to a rabbit show about 2 hours away. No show here also. Wife and friend raise some rarer breeds, and they are top bunnies at the shows. Buyers would be getting some of the finest available. Someone had a rant about sellers selling item to another after promising it to a buyer. Well the other shoe is much the same. Lots of inconsiderate folks out there. Told wife that she'd better ask for id's, phone numbers, etc. before she falls for this again.

Yea Ray,I think I've told the story before about the jerkhoph that was supposed to be buying my dairy herd then didn't come back with the money. Had a guy from right over to Trufant that wanted them in the mean time. We're talking a LOT of money on that deal. Took another couple of weeks to get rid of them. I'll still pound that guy right into the ground if he ever crosses my path again.

Some folks selling things tend to be overbearing and the prospective buyer will tell them they'll be by or will buy the item so they don't hear a bunch of manure from the seller.Of course there are always no shows for whatever reason--just a part of life these days nothing to get the ole blood pressure up about.

I am having the same problem trying to sell an RV Motor Home. Good unit, nothing wrong with it. And, it is priced to sell. People will come and want to test drive it which is fine and take 2-3 hours of your time and then leave. No momey....just lookers. Or they say they are going to the bank to get a cashiers check and then never show up. Most of them probably don't have the money to put where there mouth is anyway. Most of the time they call for an appointment and never show.

Happens with tractors, too, unfortunately.

Especially on Ebay or the like. Can't trust people outright.

If they want them bad enough, make them come to you or get a non refundable deposit before you take them anywhere. The people or person wanting them was probably at the show but changed their mind. What motovation did they have to buy them? No risk for them if they don't buy them. Was your wife going to the show anyway? Id's and phone numbers don't change anything. Unless you had an agreement and price that you both agreed to, your out of luck. If thet were only interested in them, seems like a long way to drive for maybe? getting a sale. Seems like a simple fix to me. If you wait at home and people don't show isn't very considerate but it doesn't cost you a lot in gas and other expenses. Just your time. In the post a few days ago about the sawmill, I don't think the sawmill was promised for the guy and no absolute contract was made. It was inconsiderate but easily avoidable and you can't really blame the seller if they accepted cash for it on the spot. Dave
