I took an old tandem dump truck in, I got $265.00 per ton. Thants the HIGHEST I have ever seen it. Some people were telling me it might hit $500.00 Hate to say it but there will be alot less projects sitting along fence rows with prices like that. What are the prices in your area?

Yep and the sad thing is most of it goes to China. I just hope they don't do like Japan did before 1941 when they where buying scrap iron and we then found out 50% of it was going into there war machines. And yes its getting to the point and old tractor like say a Farmall H is worth more as scrap then it is in good running shape

Took a pick-up load in last week of what they called "Light Iron". Got what amounted to $234.00 per ton. Had 1160 pounds on the truck, and got $99.00 for the load. That was here in York Pa.
