The Nebraska panhandle doesn't get jack for annual precipitation. 15 inches around Scottsbluff annually? That's not much more than an inch a month.

Well, maybe the Kruse-Phillips auction in Bridgeport will bring some rain out there. Big auctions have a way of bringing wet weather...LOL

About halfway across this state, east to west it starts getting dry. Am in the very eastern part, had a really wet winter, driveway finally dried down, went out sunday and got stuck cutting across a cornfield. What a difference 300 miles makes.

I feel for you!

You got my curiousity up - since we've been so dry, too - according to the NWS recordings at the local airport in Stratford, TX, we've had 3.24 inches of precipitation since Aug 1, 07.

8.8 altogether in the last year.

We'd sure take any extra anyone wants to send our way! Just not a whole flood at one time - like some are dealing with!

Howard

Sounds like the time it rained for 40 days and 40 nights. Here we had a half inch.
