I need to rebuild a JD plow and am in need of moldboards etc, I hear terms like shins lathes etc, Exactly what parts are what? Mine is worn out right thru the moldboards, the only good thing left are the coulters.

Crescent Forge has the new things you need you will need to know the model of your plow. Cheaper to find another plow and did you check with a dealer?

The basic parts of a plow are as follows, the main piece that holds all of the wear parts is the frog. Of course you know what the moldboard is. At the bottom of the moldboard, the actual cutting edge of the plow is the share. On the inside edge of the moldboard is the shin, this prevents excess wear of the edge of the moldboard. The Landside attaches to the frog and runs along the edge of the furrow wall. These parts can be called different things, but this is how they are described in plow part catalogs.
