Well spring is around the corner and the shop is full. The 8640 is in for a new interior, air conditoning, and some other odds and ends. The Glencoe soil saver is in for new blades, bearings, rebuilding all the standards. Also have to put a new ram on and repack the wheel bearings. The bobcat in the background has to get done too. Only if days were 48 hours long and if i gut could work 40 in a day:) Erik third party image

Oh my God those soil saver gangs are heavy to work on! We broke one off in the field one day and I had to help load it in the back of the truck while it was still assembled. Just about kiled us to lift it. We were trying to chisel plow frosted ground. Blades didn't like it.

When you pull them wheels off to repack bearings, drill and tap them for zerks then just give them a couple shots every season. Last time you ever need to remove them.

Not an 8640, but our 8630 is on YouTube...

Just wondering, what happened that you need a new interior? All of our tractor interiors are original, but have been kept inside most of the time.
