Walt,

Granddad always said that tractors are like seeds, plant'm too deep and they never come up! Lookes like there is hope for that one. If you don't want to make too big a mess it will take a LONG chain or cable, or a week of dry weather.

Good luck!

Dave

Well, it's been my experience that the grass is greenest over the septic tank. Guess you'll back me on that one.

I'm guessing you've pulled it out by now though.

It doesn't look like the front end is too bad. I would dump the implement, get a long cable and another tractor or 4x4 pickup. I would pull from more solid ground with the other rig and then drive the stuck tractor out more or less forward, pulling with the cable until the tractor has enough traction to make it on its own power.

It seems like I end up getting stuck somewhere on my property every Spring! Before I got my 4x4, I had to get out without the help of another puller. Once my tractor sat in a mudhole for over a month, with me hand carrying rocks to toss under it and jacking on the tractor. I bet I had 50 hours of messing around with that stuck tractor before I finally was able to get it to start and drive out. It sure is a lot easier to get one out if you have another machine pulling on it.

After our huge snowfall and accumulation of snow this year, we are having the most runoff I have seen in the 30+ years I have lived on this property. I expect that there will be LOTS of soft spots for a long time this Spring. Sure wish I owned a crawler, although I know that it is possible to stick them too, and then you really have a problem. Guess I will just have to wait for it to dry out some.

Good luck, it doesn't look too bad stuck to me.

That's pretty good, it hasn't even happened yet and you've got pictures.

I buried our CIH 385 worse than that hauling round bales. I used the front end loader to lift the front to fill in those holes. Then dug and tried, dug and tried, until I got it out. It was a good thing we had small bales in the barn, because it took me several days.

walt is it cold at nite there? unhook the hog, and when it real cold it may just drive out, bt dt more than once, 2, dig out from in front of the [4] wheels to make a gentel ramp on both sides, unhook the hog, throw sand, dry dirt, bedding material, whatever you got on the ramp, then drive her out, done that too

Could pic steven, on the farm I work on I run a 8650, love that machine. And I would agree with steven too allen, Ive ran that thing through some slop, pick the implement up and your good to go, although Ive seen some scarry stuff on stuck and troubled so I cant guarentee anything :) Oh and I spose it would leave a little bit of a rut too lol :>

Nah, 8 tires on the ground for floatation... I've never got stuck yet! When it starts spinning in the mud, I just lift the cultivator and drive out. So far, anyway...

Never say never. I worked on a farm and we jad a new 8430 tied on a 27 ft JD disc and it got stuck in some good IL black gumbo. We needed a 2470 Case and a 4-150 white and several feet of chain to pull it out. when those wheels stop turning on the disc and the mud boils up 6 foot above the frame, you are stuck.
