We have 15 trucks in our fire dept, I have been servicing and working on all of our units to get them ready for the upcoming fire season, I built this truck and 2 others like it in 04, just finishing up another this coming week, usually try to build one new one a year. We dont have a fire hall so all our trucks are kept at local ranches in the area, we protect about a 500 square mile area. Hey allen! this is the truck I had in chadron a couple years ago at the big fire! wish I knew you then! we coulda stole a cup of coffe or two!

I noticed this was a Dodge. Any particular reason why a Dodge? I left my email, so you don't have to go public with your reply. I don't want to start an opinion war over trucks. We have a Dodge 3500 and its a good truck. Just wanted to know. Thanks.

There are 4 reasons we went with the dodge,

1 dodge gave us the best bid price for the specs

2 it had a higher gvw than the competition when built as per our specs

3 many of us own cummins dodges with over 200,000 miles without major repairs (mine has 356,000 miles on it with origional engine and trans with no major repairs)

4 best fuel economy of all our units, 12 mpg compared to f-350 ford we have with ps diesel that runs around 9 This is with truck loaded with water, gear and personnel.

We have all makes, and have had great luck with them all, the dodges just scored higher in the obove areas.

Diesel repair, general automotive repair, body shop and wrecker service. Me and the cows never got along real well, so I took up bending wrenches and skinning my knuckles, Paint alot of tractors, old cars and new vehicle body repair (mostly deer damage). Repair tractors and farm equipment, A/C work and keep the ranch vehicles going. I work on some of Lynns equipment, mostly the large diesel tractors. Very small world indeed!

Lynn would be my brother-in-law's uncle... his dad is Wayne that owns Weishaar Auction. Brother-in-law is Shawn, does appraisal work.

Small world out there... :)
So what's D&D Service do? I'm going to guess something with cattle, maybe AI service?
