My youngest brothers 95 chevy camaro has two problems but I think they are related. It started that it would go into reverse but not drive. Shortly after that it would not go into reverse either, now the motor won't spin with the starter. I put a breaker bar on the crank pully and the motor turned reasonably easy. when you try to start it the soleniod snaps and from underneath you can hear the starter try to turn. Can the transmission be locked up and if it is would that keep the engine from turning? It is the 3.4 liter and auto trans, we had a battery charger/starter hooked to it so it is not the battery causing the starting problem. Thanks alot, Mike.

climb underneath and remove the cover below the converter/flex plate on the trans....see what falls out. My guess is broken flexplate also
