A few years ago my dad got a magazine that showed farm inventions. Like a guy took a IH 715 combine and made a sprayer out of it . An other mounted a snow blower on a combine. A self propelled auger, homemade four wheel drive tractor, tub grinder on a old cement truck. You get the idea. anyway what mag was that and is there a web site a guy could look up and see this kind of stuff. Thanks

Proof that being left alone with your brain on a tractor may not have the best outcome. Some people need a radio.

You"re likely talking about FarmShow Magazine. Been around since the 70s, claim to have no advertising, just farm inventions. Need to take it with a grain of salt- many ideas are fine, some are not worth the powder to blow them to he.. In recent years, they have many non-farmer ideas, impractical "inventions" that will go nowhere, etc. Pretty much turning into a non-farmer magazine.

Some inventions in that magazine are rather clever. Most however are embarrassing. The number of tinkeres who throw a cargo box onto an old garden tractor or ATV and call it a Gator will make you shake your head. Another article had some AliceChalmers tractor owner moaning too bad Goodyear quit making bias tires. He had removed radials filled with calcium and replaced them with dry bias tires. Then he preached in wonderment about how these bias tires road smoother, the tractor felt less sluggish and more responsive. And fuel efficiency had improved. Well duh, he dropped two tons of weight from his tractor. The HP to weight ratio is much improved and rolling friction reduced.

Think about it - nearly all farm stuff is a result of some ole farmer country boy's inventitness. Where did names like Underferth, McCormick, Massey, Swartz, Deere, Steiger, Allis, Chalmers, and on and on come from? Oh there are a few town names like New Holland, Saginaw, Piquea, etc.
