Trying to find a source for parts for a Peugeot slant 4 deisel engine in a Toro GoundsMaster 455D. It has a belt drive overhead camshaft. Toro told my customer it was obsolete and wouldn't even try to help him. Any help is greatly apreciated.

Look for a Toro Commercial dealer. They service
commercial mowers for golf courses, etc. and usually have all the parts you will need or can
get them overnight.

The Toro dealers that carry homeowner products
are usually entirely separate and have no communication with commercial parts or products.

Good luck with this project.

Sounds like the XUD Peugeot engine that's in THOUSANDS, possibly millions, of vehicles in Europe & UK. Parts easy to source over the pond, there's bound to be somewhere online e.g Link

Very>Link reliable engines so unlikely to need many parts for them. I had a friend who clocked up 260,000 miles on one & 220,000 on another with no engine work at all & both were running when he sold them.

Don't know where he got it. We'd sold him tractor parts before. Was there one of these units on the MITN auction site or something?

Yes, it sold a couple of weeks ago around $6,200.00. It was a 2001 or 2 with about 1500 hours on it. I wouldn"t have though it needed much work.
