Article in today's Wall Street Journal about wheat futures advancing over $5/bu to $24.xx. It was for delivery in March. Wonder how much is going to export with the weak dollar.

About time.

Shows what happens when prices are surpressed for too long. With oil it took a decade for it to result in higher prices - with grain its taken almost 30 years.

Here in South Central Ks. a large portion of former wheat ground is now growing corn, soybeans and a lot of cotton. Wheat and milo are not planted nearly as much as even 5 years ago.

Anyone on here from the U.P. of Michigan? Have you noticed there are a lot of the "dormant' grass fields starting to be "crop" farmed again? Winter wheat would be ideal for eastern UP dormant pasture and growing season. Be nice to see some of that land producing again.
