Problems on fuel gage??

Today I installed my new dash. But found on the fuel gage. That I had 12 Volt power going to it. But no power coming out the other side that runs to the new float sending unit. Any susjestiong????

Larry take the wire loose from the sending unit and ground it to a good ground on the frame. The gauge should either go to the low side mark or the high side mark if it doesn't move then the gauge is bad if it does then the sending unit is bad.

Larry, how you testing for power?? A test light or meter?? Most gauges work one of 2 way. empty tank high resistance so that will lower the voltage of empty high voltage and then higher volts. Hard to test with out a meter.

Using a 12 volt tester is all I have. Got no kind of light on it, on the sender side.
